With Sione Vaki suffering an eye injury and nasal fracture on August 3, the Lions brought in four RB’s for tryouts.
The list includes Hassan Haskins who Michigan Wolverine fans will fondly remember for his legendary 2021 performance vs Ohio State…
The Lions did not sign Haskins however, as they went with Raheem Blackshear who signed on August 4. Even though the Lions added a RB, I don’t expect Vaki’s injuries to keep him out for very long.

There don’t appear to be any major injury concerns with Blackshear. He had an ankle injury last season and didn’t play all year, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the injury was severe.
His age is getting up there a bit for the running back position, but along with that comes some game experience. In his career, he has a total of 52 rushing attempts for 203 yards.
