Lions Sign Nick Muse TE: Medical Report
The Lions TE room has been unsettled throughout camp
The Detroit Lions signed tight end Nick Muse the day after Miles Kitselman went down with an unspecified leg injury.
This might not be a good sign for Kitselman who Dan Campbell already stated will be out “for a while.” In other TE injury news, recently-signed Anthony Firkser left practice on August 3 with a leg injury. All this is on top of the existing durability concerns of Sam LaPorta’s spine and Tyler Conklin’s active calf strain.
While Nick Muse hasn’t done much in his NFL career, the Lions’ TE health concerns mean he could get an opportunity for a role here. His medical report looks clean heading into 2026.

Muse has been a lightly-used TE throughout his NFL career. In 2025, he spent time on various practice squads without playing in a game. There is a remote ACL which isn’t a concern at this point.
