Lions 2026 UDFA: Aamaris Brown, CB
Can this playmaking CB lock down a nickel role?
The Lions added playmaking CB, Aamaris Brown, as an undrafted free agent (UDFA). While his age is on the older side, he appears to be a healthy addition to the roster.
UNLV listed him at 5’ 10”, 190 lbs which might make him more ideal for a nickel role. Potentially, he could replace Amik Robertson who got a nice 2-year, $15M pay bump with the Commanders in free agency.

I didn’t find any significant injury history for Brown. It doesn’t help that search engines confuse his name with Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Let’s hope that AamB outplays his draft status as much as 4th-rounder ARSB. That’s a distinct possibility if Aamaris can build upon his final college season when he racked up INT’s in 4 straight games, two pick-sixes, 5 TFL, and 3.5 sacks.
His 2024 season deserves investigation as to why he only appeared in four games and then left the team. Some kind of injury during that season would need to be ruled out. Aside from that season, he was generally reliable and available in college.
Of some concern is his older age along with six years of college mileage.
Brown finished with 8 INT and 16 PBU in his college career.
