Lions 2026 UDFA: Aidan Keanaaina, DT
How much of a concern is Keanaaina's ACL going forward?
The Lions gave Aidan Keanaaina a hefty amount of guaranteed money to sign as an undrafted free agent (UDFA). This signals high hopes that he can help along a defensive line that needs healthy backups and is likely to soon lose DJ Reader.
Below is the medical report for Keanaaina. For a full breakdown of the 2026 rookie class, visit my Lions 2026 draftees + UDFA page.

The ACL in 2022 is not a concern at the point unless there was associated cartilage damage. He showed perfect availability in his final two college seasons which is very reassuring.
The fact that the Lions gave him a relatively high amount of guaranteed money as an UDFA signals that medical does not have much, if any, concern with the knee.
His older age bumps up his concern level, but teams can’t be too choosy in the UDFA pool.
In his 6-year career, he collected 3 sacks and 6.5 TFL. His listed size in college was a massive 6’ 3” and 320 lbs, which means he could serve as an anchor in the middle of the Lions defensive line.
The Lions added a couple of late-round defensive linemen in Skyler Gill-Howard and Tyre West. Here are their medical reports…
